Travis Scott has dropped “The Plan,” a track from Christopher Nolan‘s highly anticipated sci-fi thriller, Tenet.
“Last time I did the whippets, last time I live reverse / Pull up ’round, hit the reverend, last time I hit your crib / Last time there was no tenants,” Scott raps in the track.
“The Plan” debuted Friday night during TNT‘s NBA playoffs broadcast. The track was produced by the film’s composer Ludwig Göransson.
Previously, in a GQ interview, Nolan was asked about Scott’s contribution to the film’s soundtrack, to which the director replied, “His voice became the final piece of a yearlong puzzle. His insights into the musical and narrative mechanism Ludwig Göransson and I were building were immediate, insightful and profound.”
When asked by GQ to describe Tenet, Scott replied, “I can’t even explain it. You literally just have to watch it. It’s very fire.”
Tenet is set to hit theaters in the U.S. on September 3, after shifting its release date several times due to the coronavirus pandemic.
