Strictlys Shirley Ballas says she can now breathe as her kidneys are cancer-free

Strictly Come Dancing star Shirley Ballas has shared an update on her health after fans noticed a lump on her armpit.

The BBC show's judge, 61, went for tests on all her organs after some viewers spotted the lump as they watched her on the show.

Following a number of tests and scans on her organs, Shirley has now revealed her kidney is cancer-free in an Instagram video.

Speaking from her bad in the clip, she told her 223,000 followers: "Hi everybody, I just want to fill you in as promised. I got two sets of results back today and the shadow on my kidney seems absolutely fine, they're not worried about it.

"And then some of the little – I'm going to say polyps, there was a fancy name for them or something – are just absolutely fine so there's no cancer there, so that was good.

"So I just need to have my boobies checked one more time when I have a minute and my hormones are still all over the place to started today with some oestrogen and see if we can balance the body better and she does recommend maybe I take a little time for myself, I shall try to do. Thank you to all of you who spotted it, who made me get my MOT of myself, I really appreciate it. I love you all, you're such great, great people. Thank you."

As she posted the video Shirley added in the caption: "Dear Fans and friends.

"Got two sets of results back and after feeling very anxious for several weeks I can now breathe.

"I want to thank each and every one of you for your caring kind and loving messages. You proved that social media can be a good place, watching out for each other is always a good thing, and I feel blessed.

"Hopefully in a few weeks I’ll start to feel less tired and my old self again.
