Prince Charles is said to still be “fuming” with his son Prince Harry after his explosive Oprah Winfrey interview.

The Duke of Sussex, 36, is said to have sent a “deeply personal note” to his father the Prince of Wales, 72, ahead of his trip to the UK last month.

But, Prince Harry is said to have received a “frosty reception” from a number of members of the Royal Family as he reunited with them at Prince Philip’s funeral.

And, despite reports Harry reunited with Prince William and dad Charles for two hours after the funeral service at Windsor Castle, an insider has now revealed that the Charles and Harry are still in a rift and the father and son “barely communicated” during Harry’s trip.

A source told US Weekly: “Unfortunately, Harry and Charles didn’t resolve their differences when Harry returned to the U.K. They barely communicated.

“There definitely continues to be a huge wedge between the two.”

It’s understood there is hurt on both sides as Prince Charles is “still fuming” over Harry’s interview with Oprah, while the Duke of Sussex is said to have not forgiven his dad over the “lack of support” for his and Meghan Markle’s move to the US.

The insider added: “Charles is still fuming about Harry throwing shade at him and the royal family in the big interview and won’t let it drop.

“But to be honest, Harry didn’t go running back to Charles begging for forgiveness either. He still hasn’t forgiven his father for his lack of effort and support after he and Meghan decided to move. The reason Harry went back to the U.K. was to see the queen and to pay his respects to Prince Philip. That’s about as far as it goes.”

Meanwhile, it has also been claimed that the Prince of Wales is “freezing Harry out”.

They continued: “Charles is working toward a new slimmed-down monarchy and is freezing Harry out. He’s actually already out.

“After the damage Harry has caused the family, he firmly believes that his son doesn’t deserve the privilege of being a royal.”

The source ended with: “To put it bluntly, it’s unlikely that we’ll be seeing Harry and Charles making amends anytime soon.”

OK! online has contacted Harry and Charles’ representatives for comment.

Meanwhile, peace talks between Harry, brother William, 38, and Charles are said to have been put on hold.

According to The Sun, royal aides have become “increasingly alarmed at the speed at which details of private family exchanges have emerged” during Harry’s trip to the UK.
