Love Island bosses play the same 3 songs at villa parties – and ignore contestants requests

Former Love Island bombshell Danica Taylor has revealed some secrets from behind-the-scenes of the famous villa parties.

The Islanders are often shown dancing and enjoying some drinks in the villa when they’re treated to a party, and now Danica has told us some revelations about the music that is played in the garden.

Speaking during an Instagram Live with OK!, the 21 year old revealed that the villa bosses play the same three songs during their gatherings and ignore the contestants’ requests for tracks.

Danica’s comments came as she responded to a question from a follower asking: “When you have the parties in the evening do you get to have music?”

She replied: “Not always, I mean no actually that’s a lie, you do. So the little parties you randomly see people dancing at or whatever, yeah you do have music.

“You can request music but they never really go with what you’ve requested, I think they play three songs and it’s just random music.”

The star, who was a bombshell during last year’s summer series, continued: “They tend to replay the same songs. So you know you’re coming out and they’re like: ‘Right come on let's go, let’s get the party going,’ and the song comes on and it’s like 'oh my god I’ve go to dance to this.'

“One it’s not a song that I dance to and second of all I literally listened to this last party.”

But Danica, who this year’s OK! columnist for Love Island, went on to add that the music choice doesn’t end up being that important thanks to the bond all the Islanders have forged.

“But do you know what, I think when you make such a bond with everyone in there you just have fun without the music.

"People don’t get it. People hear: ‘Oh my God you did that without music? That must be so awkward!’ But you literally become best friends with these people so imagine you’d just be sitting with your best mates, it’s not serious.”

Danica made an iconic entrance to the villa last series, arriving mid-challenge in a seashell and quickly become a fan-favourite, although she wasn't quite so lucky in love.

The star was in a number of friendship couples before footballer Jamie Allen made his entrance and swept her off her feet.

The duo narrowly missed out on making the series finale and left the process loved-up together, but they sadly split just weeks later.
