Halsey was seriously brave to wear this semi-frontless dress to Fashion Week

There’s only so many hemlines and necklines that designers can add to dresses, so we’re not used to seeing an entirely unique silhouette.

So congratulations to Halsey for bringing the semi-frontless dress to the forefront.

The 24-year-old wore a seriously daring dress to DKNY’s 30th birthday celebrations during New York Fashion Week, which demanded the singer go commando and also probably get a wax.

The pains of being a popstar.

The Closer singer rocked a slinky floor-length black satin gown with spaghetti straps, which was form fitting to the waist.

However, the sides of the top were laced up corset style, stopping at the hip and just tapering off into… well, nothing.

Halsey – real name Ashley Frangipane – boldly posed up a storm at the DKNY Turns 30 bash, showing off the tattoos on her left thigh and arms in the revealing number.

The singer, who was performing on the night, paired the look with simple make-up and killer heels, and there’s no doubt all the spotlight was on her – impressive, considering the guestlist.

Cara Delevingne and girlfriend Ashley Benson were in attendance, packing on the PDA, while Kendall Jenner, Suki Waterhouse, Pose’s Indya Moore, Alessandra Ambrosio, Winnie Harlow, Charlie Puth and Nina Agdal all celebrated the brand.

Halsey has become one of music’s hottest stars not only because of her music, but because of her refreshing openness about mental illness.

The Without Me singer, who is dating Yungblud, revealed earlier this year that she had herself committed to a psychiatric hospital twice to cope with manic depressive episodes.

And this month, she told Cosmpolitan that music gives her stability with the symptoms of bipolar disorder.

She said: ‘I have bipolar disorder, and I get bored of s*** really quickly. Music is this thing that I get to focus all my chaotic energy into, and it’s not a void that doesn’t love me back.

‘It’s been the only place I can direct all that and have something to show for it that tells me, “Hey, you’re not that bad”. If my brain is a bunch of broken glass, I get to make it into a mosaic.’
