The 20th Century Fox sports drama brought in $31 million in its opening weekend at the box office in North America, Variety reported on Sunday (November 17).

The film, which co-stars Christian Bale and Matt Damon, debuted ahead of expectations.
Charlie’s Angels came in at $8.5 million, landing at fourth place behind Playing With Fire at $8.7 million and Midway at $8.75 million.
The Good Liar came in at $5.6 million.
In the film, American car designer Carroll Shelby and driver Ken Miles (Damon and Bale) battle corporate interference, the laws of physics and their own personal demons to build a revolutionary race car for Ford and challenge Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966.
