Eastenders stars Maisie Smith and Zack Morris have caused fans to believe there may be a romance between them outside of their on-screen relationship.

The actors seemed to be loved up on a night out in London recently, with rumours of the pair using a unisex bathroom together to wash their hands before taking their seat to grab a bite to eat.

Maisie, 20, who is well known for playing the role of Tiffany on the BBC soap, was joined by her family on the night out as they attended a crazy golf session in Essex, with 22 year old on-screen husband Zack joining them.

A source for The Sun reported that they looked “close” on the night out and shared that they believed the couple didn’t want to publicise their time spent together as they refused to pose for photos.

The source said: “They didn’t seem to want to publicise they were out together and wouldn’t pose for pictures together when they arrived.

“As they were playing golf Zack seemed totally at ease with Maisie and her family.

"When they sat down to have a drink, Zack had his arm around the back of Maisie’s chair. They were whispering to one another and laughing.

“At the end of the night Maisie and Zack went into the same toilet cubicle. He came out a little later. Not long after, Maisie appeared. It seems they’re into one another but are trying to keep it quiet.”

Zack has since denied the rumours that they have a thing together, with Zack reporting to The Sun: “Maisie and I are just good friends”.

A source close to Maisie also confirmed to The Sun that they had only gone to the bathroom together to wash their hands before eating.

The pair were rumoured to be romantically linked at the start of 2020, with the pair denying the claims that their relationship goes beyond friendship.

Maisie was linked to Strictly co-star HRVY in 2021 after a season of flirting between the pair seemingly lead to more following production’s end.

But while they seemingly had a good thing going, the pair reportedly split as the third lockdown came into effect, killing the potential romance between them.

A source at The Sun said: “The third lockdown came into play and it ended up being a total passion killer.

"HRVY and Maisie's romance just fizzled out – and both of them have been so busy working. Plus HRVY signed a huge new record deal earlier this month — so it's all go.

"He is back on Raya now – and it's a sure-fire sign that his blossoming relationship with Maisie is now a non-starter."
