Rochelle, 31, who recently brought out a brand new children's book, then interrupted the show to tell Alison: "This is for your hair, honey. This is a hair mask," while giggling.
Clearly amused by her little blunder, Alison burst out into hysterics as she replied: "Oh I thought it was for your body."
Keeping the joke going, Rochelle then asked: "Are your legs hairy? Do they need treatment? What's going on?"
Alison then took a whiff of the content and said: "Smells lovely though!" before adding: "I thought this was a demonstration, I thought we were going to be able to try it out."
Fans couldn't help but laugh along as they flocked to Twitter to comment on the hilarious mistake.
One person wrote: "Alison Hammond mistaking hair mask for moisturiser and slapping it on her legs on live tv is the biggest mood".
Another said: "Okay, but why isn’t @AlisonHammond permanently presenting #ThisMorning? Hilarious…lashing a hair mask on her legs!"
While a third added: "Please @AlisonHammond rubbing a hair mask all over her leg is the funniest thing ever #ThisMorning."

It comes as Alison recently hit out at Celebs Go Dating producers for attempting to make her eat a hot dog on camera to try and get a shot of a “fat person eating”.
The This Morning star looked for love on the E4 show earlier this year, but now claims producers left a plate of hot dogs out for her to eat in hopes of filming it.
Alison, 45, recalled the situation on Fleur East’s podcast The Reality of Reality, revealing she was initially baffled by the situation.
Alison said: "When I did Celebs Go Dating, do you know when they do the pre-titles and you do all the little bits to camera, I noticed the producer had some hotdogs on the side and I was doing my little blowing the kisses to camera.

"And I was wondering about it and then he brought a hotdog over and went 'Oh can you just eat a hot dog?'
"So then straightaway I said, 'What do I need to eat a hot dog for?’ when I realised, oh it's the fat person eating."
Alison then revealed that she knew what kind of shot producers were after. She added: "I totally get that producers are making a show that there needs to be entertainment and it needs to be funny and it needs to be fun and there need to be highs and lows.
"I'm seeing it more from a producer side of things now. I can kind of manipulate things in the sense that I know what they're going to want."
