Alex Scott, 36, suffered a slight wardrobe malfunction on the night of the 2021 Fashion Awards, but thankfully it was in the comfort of her own home. On Monday evening, celebrities hit the red carpet for the annual event held at London’s Royal Albert Hall, to honour the best and brightest in British fashion talent.
I can’t get it off! I’m stuck!
Alex wore a stunning embellished black dress to the ceremony, but quickly found out it was a two person job when it came to getting it off.
Taking to Instagram following the star-studded night, she filmed herself struggling to undo the neck clasp of her high-necked glamorous gown despite returning home sober.
Alex began: “I thought I was doing really well.
“Got home really early… well, earlish,” she giggled as she looked at the time.
Her laughter soon grew wild as she realised she really was stuck in the gown.
“Can’t take my dress off!” she exclaimed as she swayed around attempting to release herself.
“I can’t get it off! I’m stuck!”
Eventually giving up, the sportswoman grabbed her head in her hands.
“So annoying!” she moaned, looking helpless.
“I’ve got to sleep in it… Help!”
Apart from Alex’s outfit debacle, the night was a huge fashion success as lovers of the fashion industry stepped out to celebrate.
Hollywood actress Demi Moore, opted for a black and white outfit, which featured an ombre effect and was embellished with sparkling gems.
She completed the look by accessorising with a graphic clutch, black pumps and a pair of leather gloves.
36-year-old Lily Allen showed off her slim physique in a backless jumpsuit as she arrived on the red carpet.
The singer, who hit out at “skinny shamers” over the summer, proudly displayed her toned body in a glamorous flared silver jumpsuit.
The star’s chic satin ensemble featured a backless blazer top, which she paired with a matching belt.
The night also celebrated late designer Virgil Abloh, who passed away at the age of 41 just on Sunday.
He had been battling cancer privately and news of his death shocked the world.
The ceremony, designed as a celebration of all that has been achieved in this pandemic era, provided an opportunity for collective mourning as the industry reels from the loss of the industry trailblazer.
