AJ Pritchard, 26, had no clue at all his younger brother Curtis Pritchard, 25, would be appearing in the current series of Celebs Go Dating. The former Strictly Come Dancing professional only discovered the bombshell news upon his return from North Wales, where he had been filming I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2020.

A bit hesitant

AJ shared: “I didn’t know! [Celebs Go Dating] is one of the shows I have always loved and watched.

“I’m a huge fan of it. I don’t think my mum knew I actually watched it and loved it.”

Opening up on how he first heard the exciting news, AJ recalled: “I came out of the castle and I said to Abbie [Quinnen], my girlfriend, ‘How has it been having Curtis there [at their flat]?’ Because obviously, I had been away for so long.

“She was like, ‘Haven’t you heard? Curtis is in the mansion doing Celebs Go Dating.’

“I was like ‘Oh my god!’ So I was super excited for him.”

Curtis entered the Celebs Go Dating mansion alongside stars including Gary Lineker’s brother Wayne Lineker and Made In Chelsea star Sophie Hermann.

This year all the celebrities in the contest and their dates were forced to isolate together in a Surrey estate while filming was in session owing to the coronavirus pandemic.

AJ revealed his sibling was initially nervous about entering the daunting environment, on his quest to find true love.

He divulged: “I called my mum and she was like, ‘Curtis was a little bit hesitant to start with.’ But then he really looked forward to it.

“So I was like, ‘Mum this is going to be great’. It is such a good show, so I was really happy even though I wasn’t there when the decision was made.”

Meanwhile, both AJ and Curtis have recently partnered up with WW to keep the country moving as many remain stuck indoors.

Opening up on the benefits of keeping a routine with the Walk To Wellness initiative, AJ shared: “I think that has kept us focused, things like Walk To Wellness with WW.

“Putting things in the diary that are good for everybody, and good for releasing endorphins, and things that are helping other people.”

He added: “When we’re helping other people, we feel like we’re helping ourselves. Even the podcast, we do that weekly. It is so much fun and we get so many good comments.“

Walk To Wellness is a free initiative to bring the nation together virtually for a regular walk in the company of celebrities and WW’s expert team of Digital 360 coaches.

The walks, which are freely available to everyone, will take place every Tuesday and Thursday at 1pm, throughout February.

This week’s walks feature Curtis and AJ and WW Digital 360 coach, Josh.

Curtis has worked with WW (formerly known as WeightWatchers) since he left Love Island back in 2019, and has lost nearly three stone since following their plans.

He revealed: “The fact that WW is doing a walk to wellness, we can get the entire nation moving… you don’t even have to be a WW member, you can literally be anyone.

“Anybody can join, we can get the whole nation virtually moving together.”

WW has launched an initiative to keep Britain connected and moving during lockdown. For more information please visit ww.com/UK/Walk-Wellness.
