Makeup artist Violette has finally launched her own brand, Violette_FR (via Inside/Out). Expanding her expertise far from just makeup, Violette has entered the creative sphere of developing skincare, hair, clothing, and fragrance products as well.
Cruelty-free and formulated with “vegan, clean ingredients,” Violette_FR has been a passion project for the beauty influencer for quite some time. Developed to remind her customers they “were born perfect”, Violette’s brand has “been in development for three years” but has been in the artist’s mind for her entire career (via Vogue).
“All my years as a makeup artist allowed me to play with the best products in the world,” the French-born, now Brooklyn-based Violette said, adding that her line is “easy to use by anyone — from the maven to the novice.” Created to encourage people “to have fun with your makeup, laugh at yourself, seduce yourself,” Violette_FR’s main goal is to “believe with all your heart in your own je ne sais quoi.”
So what exactly can you buy from Violette_FR to achieve the French makeup queen’s signature look?
Violette also has an Estée Lauder collection you can buy
As the brand is relatively new, there’s still a limited amount of items that Violette_FR has to offer. That’s not to say it’s not been received positively, as many have already commended the affordability of the makeup artist’s products, as well as their quality (via InStyle).
Prices range from $20 to $95, and include everything from bright lip glosses and lipsticks, to a perfume and a clothing collaboration with Bisous Skateboards. Some products have understandably sold out due to popular demand, including the Avec Amour perfume that is said to “wake up your vavavoom” and the Baume Shine highlighter that will provide you with glory skin “reminiscent of a Neoclassical masterpiece.”
And if you can’t get enough of those products, Violette also has plenty of products with Estée Lauder after becoming their Global Beauty Director in 2017 (via Violet Grey). So if you’re after some more Violette magic through products not yet available through her brand (eyeshadow palettes, eye gloss, glitter pots, and eye crayons), her Estée Lauder collection is a must-buy.
